| The
Founders Library was designed by and built under the supervision
of African American Architect Albert I. Cassell. Louis Fry,
an employee of Cassell, had a significant hand in the design
of the library. When asked of the building’s resemblance
to Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, Fry commented
that “since the Library was dedicated to liberty, there
was no more appropriate design for Howard University’s
major building to emulate." More... |
