Established in 1928, the Gallery of Art has an extensive African American collection and is home to an encyclopedic assembly of African artifacts, Renaissance and Baroque paintings, 16th-19th century European prints and an array of paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints by 20th century artists.
   The Gallery of Art is located in the Lulu Vere Childers Hall.
