It should be clearly understood that prospective students are not automatically accepted by the Department of Theatre Arts simply because they declare Theatre Arts as their area of interest. After review of pertinent data, the Department will have final say as to who will be admitted to its programs and under what conditions.

All theatre arts students must satisfy the general requirements of the Division of Fine Arts (minimum SAT - 1000 or ACT composite scores - 21 and required high school courses) in addition to previously mentioned requirements.

Once accepted to the University, students interested in performance programs of study (Acting, Musical Theatre, Dance) will prepare for auditions and/or interviews.
