Welcome to the Howard University-Kansas City Star Partnership CD, a multimedia archive of the Newspapers-in-Residence Grant for 2003-2004. This is a record of the teaching and learning that went on during visits by KC newspaper and online managers who unselfishly came to HU to enhance our journalism program. The selected topic--"Downloading Music"--will provide an ongoing forum for stories and graphics. Three stories have already been published on BlackCollgeView.com, a web collaboration between the Department of Journalism and National Newspaper Publishers Association.

I hope the text, photos, audio and video will convey the exciting lectures and probing discussions created by the collaboration. Please be sure the audio on your PC is turned on to fully enjoy this CD. Most software needed to view this CD are already installed on your system.
