Formed by Tom Joyner, the foundation selected Howard as part of its ongoing effort to support HBCUs & raise money to keep students in college. Four Howard students will be announced as winners.
Bridging the Gap
Student Aid Campaign
In March 2012, President Ribeau launched the Bridging the Gap Student Aid Campaign to raise $25 million in scholarship assistance that will directly address gaps in financial aid for deserving Howard students.
Donors Making
a Difference
Ellamae Simmons, M.D. (‘59) gave $300,000 to her alma mater allowing Leah Mitchell to attend the College of Medicine. The Ellamae Simmons Scholarship will cover all of Mitchell‘s expenses over four years.
Clinical Skills &
Simulation Center
Major gift donors can name a standardized patient exam room in the center, which provides a simulated environment where medical students & health care professionals develop clinical & technical skills.

Howard students hosted a welcome breakfast for alumni & friends at the Louis Stokes Health Sciences Library, which was followed by tours of newly renovated facilities underwritten by private donations.

The Pharmacy Alumni Assoc. Executive Committee presents a check to Dean Anthony K. Wutoh & College of Pharmacy. Their support provides scholarships to Pharm.D program students.
