Corporations & Foundations

The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) is charged with maintaining and developing comprehensive partnerships with corporations and foundations for the purpose of securing support and resources that strategically meet Howard University‘s goals and priorities.

The CFR office raises public awareness of Howard and works with leadership throughout the University to successfully showcase its legacy of academic excellence to the corporate and foundation giving communities. The CFR office aims to increase support for Howard‘s key funding initiatives, successfully identify and link institutional priorities with appropriate funding sources, and boost corporate presence on the campus while developing opportunities for student and faculty interaction.

Within the Division of Development & Alumni Relations, CFR serves as a central contact point for:

  • Corporate and foundation philanthropic interests in research, scholarships, capital projects, sponsorships and affinity partnerships
  • Technology transfers and intellectual property opportunities
  • Equipment donations to support student learning and faculty research
  • Visits to the University for campus tours and speaking engagements
  • Student Internships and full-time recruiting through Career Services
  • Continuing education, classroom collaborations and professional development for corporate employees
