The research component consists of clinical
and basic science projects that mechanistically
explore the behavioral genetics of alcoholism;
alcohol action on the liver and pancreas;
the relationship between alcohol dependence;
brief intervention in primary care settings
and the interaction of alcohol and nicotine
in animal models.
