HU Students Forgo Spring Break to Better Lives in Chicago
WASHINGTON – Howard University students are once again returning to Chicago for Alternative Spring Break to take on the issues of gun violence and HIV/AIDS awareness. The Chicago group will work on education, advocacy and creative expression.
One group of students will be working at Perspectives High School of Technology and TEAM Englewood Academy High School. In a series of seminars, workshops, group discussions and mentoring sessions, they will hammer home the message of how to resolve conflicts without the use of violence.
