About Us
The Howard University Business Library, established in 1970, is a component of the University Libraries System. The mission of the library is to support learning, teaching, research, and curriculum development for the School of Business, the primary clientele, and also the wider University community. The staff selects, organizes, interprets, and facilitates access to information.

The Business Library's Web site provides a description of services, access to traditional business resources, electronic resources of business and related information, and links to many other useful sites. The purpose of this site is to assist students, faculty, staff, and administrators of the School of Business, our primary clientele, and the wider University in its teaching, learning, and research efforts.

Library resources concentrate on accounting, management, Hospitality Management, marketing, international business, insurance, finance, computer and information systems analysis, business law, economics, business communications, and health services. The library contains over 80,000 books and subscribes to over 1,200 serial titles, a growing number of electronic databases and other resources. Computers are available for research.

An outstanding asset of the Business Library is its collection of corporate reports. These reports include current and retrospective (since 1970) annual reports, 10-K reports of public American corporations. Moody's Manuals on microfiche augment the corporate reports: Industrial Manual, 1920 to present; Bank and Finance Manual, 1953 to present.
