  • Almanac of Business and Industrial Financial Ratios. Prentice-Hall, published annually. Ref HF5681 R25 A44--Financial and operating ratios are listed for both manufacturing and non-manufacturing industries.
  • Financial Studies of the Small Business. Financial Research Associates, published annually. Ref. HD 2346 U5 F56--Arranged by asset size and establishment type; financial and operating ratios are provided for about 50 lines of small business and manufacturing.
  • Industry Norms and Key Business Ratios. Dun & Bradstreet Information Services, published annually. On Reserve-- Financial ratios are displayed for over 800 lines of business.
  •  RMA Annual Statement Studies. Robert Morris Associates, published annually. On Reserve--Financial and operating ratios for more than 400 lines of business whose total assets are less than $250 million.
  • Standard & Poor's Analysts' Handbook. Standard & Poor's, updated quarterly. On Reserve--Selected income, accounting and balance sheet items, and ratios as applied to over 100 industrial, transportation, utilities, and financial group stock prices.
  • Standard & Poor's Industry Surveys. Current reports On Reserve; Older volumes: Ref HC106.6 S74--Comprehensive overviews of 52 major U.S. industries. These reports cover industry trends, developments and forecasts, major players and market share data, key ratios and statistics, comparative company analysis, general industry operations, and other information.
  • Standard & Poor's Stock Reports. New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange, Nasdaq Stock Exchange, and Regional Exchanges. Standard & Poor's, published monthly. Ref. HG4905 S443--Comprehensive two-page reports on over 4,600 companies. Includes P/E ratio and current ratios for 10 years.
  • Value Line Investment Survey. On Reserve--Current issues on Reserve. 1980-Sept.1988 on Microfiche The Value Line Investment Survey is a comprehensive source of information and advice on approximately 1,700 stocks, more than 90 industries, the stock market, and the economy.

  • Standard & Poor's NetAdvantage R –the electronic version of several business reference sources from Standard & Poor’s. This database provides information on US companies, securities, bonds, mutual funds, and the full text of S&P Industry Surveys.

  • Quarterly Financial Report for Manufacturing, Mining, and Trade Corporationshttp://www.census.gov/prod/www/abs/qfr-mm.html (Also Current and bound periodical shelves.)--Presents up-to-date aggregate statistics on the financial position of U.S. corporations. Based upon an extensive sample survey, the report presents estimated statements of income and retained earnings, balance sheets, and related financial and operating ratios for the domestic operations of all manufacturing corporations with assets over $250,000, and corporations in the mining and trade areas with assets over $50 million. Data are classified by industry and by asset size.
