COAS Research Forum V (International Affairs and Sustainability)

The College of Arts and Sciences (COAS) will be holding its fifth research session. This week the focus is on International Affairs and Sustainability. We will meet from 12:10-1:30 PM to hear our scholars discuss their research and the linkages to their and other disciplines in the HU community.
The presenters for the 5th Research forum are faculty members: Krista Johnson, Department of African Studies, Terri Adams-Fuller, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Gregory Jenkins, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Flordeliz Bugarin, Department of Sociology and Anthropology
Topics include: AIDS and Health Policy in Southern Africa; How culture shapes perceptions of threats and response to weather related threats; International research experiences for students; Archaeology, Heritage Conservation, and Poverty Alleviation: The Role of China and the United States in Africa.
All are welcome to listen and participate in the Q & A and discussion period. Please invite your graduate students and bring your brown bag lunch.
