Elza narrates the story of a young Black Parisian woman of Caribbean descent who returns to her native island of Guadeloupe in search of her estranged father. This feature film is a poignant quest for roots and identity, as well as a work of great cinematic beauty. It recently won the Paul Robeson Award for Best Film from the Diaspora at the 2013 Panafrican Film and TV Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO), Burkina Faso.
