Howard Interdisciplinary Research Day 2013

This year's Research Day on Monday, April 1 will celebrate the breadth of research currently underway at Howard. More than 325 faculty members, undergraduate and graduate students will participate this year. Projects encompass research in the fields of biomedicine, health sciences, physical sciences and engineering, humanities, ethics and religion, and business, among several others.
The event will begin at 8 a.m. with opening remarksin the Blackburn Ballroom from Howard University Provost and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Wayne A. I. Frederick. Poster viewing and oral presentations will be held throughout the day in Blackburn.
Dr. John Ruffin, director of the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities, will serve as the keynote speaker at Howard University's annual inter-disciplinary Research Day at 1 p.m. in Cramton Auditorium. He is a well-respected leader and visionary in the field of minority health and health disparities and is well known for his efforts to draw attention to the health disparities field.
