The Mordecai Johnson Administration Building houses the offices of the President, the Provost & Chief Academic Officer, other senior administrative officials, and Student Enrollment Management and Financial Services. A US Post Office unit is housed in this building.
   The Administration building is named for Mordecai Wyatt Johnson, the first African American president of Howard University, 1926 to 1960.
