Located in Washington, DC, our nation’s capital, and founded in 1867 after the Civil War ended, Howard University has a rich history that spans almost one and one-half centuries. On the Tour you’ll meet students, faculty and staff who continue to build upon the legacy inherited from great men and women in Howard’s past. Today, Howard University has 12 schools and colleges and 10,500 students engaged in undergraduate, graduate and professional studies including law and medicine.
