2010 Food2Feed
raised more than $90,000
and 20,000 pounds of
food, including a $25,000
donation from SunTrust
Bank and a $1,000 donation
from Chuck Brown, the
godfather of go-go music.
Donations from the 12-hour
radiothon and food drive—which
was sponsored by WHUR
96.3 FM, WHUR-WORLD
HD2 and the University,
in partnership with
the Capital Area Food
Bank—were used
to purchase $50 Giant
Food gift cards to distribute
to needy families in
