CAREER FEST ON THE YARD

Monday, October 4, 2010, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM – Upper Quadrangle.
This is a highly visible event hosted on the upper quadrangle (“The Yard”) to launch the week. There will be an opportunity for a limited number of employers (7 – 10) to participate in this outdoor informal networking/promotional activity. Contact the CEDAR Center for information on how you may participate in this event.


BOOTH SET-UP FOR ALL RECRUITERS
  • Dates: Tuesday, October 5 & Wednesday, October 6, 2010 – Recruiters have the option to register for one day (either Tuesday or Wednesday) or for both days. There is no difference in the programming or target audiences for each day. Both days are marketed to the entire student population regardless of major.
  • Booth Set-up: Tuesday, October 5, or Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Event Time: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Location: Blackburn University Center – Ballroom & Hilltop Lobby
  • Meals: Continental Breakfast and Lunch are served daily for participating recruiters. Each booth purchase covers meals for each day for up to two recruiters. There is a $25 charge for meals for each additional recruiter.

• Fees will include continental breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks for a maximum of two (2) recruiters per booth purchase. Additional meals may be purchased at $25.00 per recruiter at the time of on-line registration.
• Reservation is on a first come, first serve basis.
• Registration and Payment deadline is September 17, 2010.
• Absolutely no refunds after September 17, 2010. Fees will be credited to the 2011 event of your choosing.
• Fees are to be paid by check, money order, or credit card. The credit card option will only be available at the time of initial registration.
• Please download a current W-9 form to assist you with processing payment for this event.



Cancellation & No-Show Policy


• Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Dr. Joan M. Browne at jmbrowne@howard.edu or jmbrownecareers@gmail.com. Cancellations left via voice mail will not be acknowledged. Paid registrants who cancel after September 17 will NOT receive a refund. Fees will be credited to the 2011 event of your choice (fall or spring).
• No-Shows on the day of the event will be considered an inappropriate cancellation. These employers or academic institutions will be invoiced and held accountable for honoring payment for the spaces reserved.



BOOTH SPECIFICATIONS

  • Each draped booth space will be 8’ wide x 6’ deep. In each booth there will be one (1) table; two (2) chairs; One (1) wastebasket; and one (1) company ID sign. If your display is larger than 8’x 6’ you will need to purchase an additional booth space. Relocations on the day of the event due to display size will not be possible.
  • Employers/Recruiters may reserve a maximum of three booths.
  • Dismantling of displays may begin at 4:15 PM on respective days.


POST-CAREER FAIR INVTERVIEWS
  • A limited number of employers will be allowed to conduct on-site interviews on Thursday, October 7 and Friday, October 8 according to space availability. A $100 fee will be charged for each room reserved. Please complete the Post Career Fair Interview Request Form and return via fax (202-462-4267) or email (huocrecruit@gmail.com) and a reservation will be made on your behalf. Interview space allocations will be honored in the order that they are received.
