On-Campus Recruitment Program (OCR)

Overview

The On-Campus Recruitment Program (OCR) offered by the CEDAR Center facilitates on-site interviews for full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities nationwide. Employers participating in the on-campus recruitment program are from a wide variety of industries, and seek students from diverse academic disciplines.

There are two time frames for the On-Campus Recruitment. The fall semester will commence in October and run to mid November. The spring semester will commence in January and run to mid March. The On-Campus Recruitment Calendar will be publicized at the beginning of each semester for participating students to review and is available at the CEDAR Center, on-line through our NACELink System as well as on the Events Calendar posted on this website.

All students must be registered with the CEDAR Center to be eligible for the On-Campus Recruitment Program. Follow these simple steps to register with the CEDAR Center and take advantage of the myriad of employment opportunities offered through this program:

A. Register with the CEDAR Center online through our web-based
software-Symplicity. This is done by completing the following steps.

  1. From any computer go to https://howard-csm.symplicity.com
  2. Select for students/alumni listed under ‘what type of user are you?’
  3. Click on register listed under ‘register for a new account’
  4. Enter your email address in the user name field
  5. Enter the school password ‘hutrak’ in the password field
  6. Complete the registration form

NOTE: The system will email you a confirmation with your user-name and password. Make note of your username and password because you will need this information for future entry into your account.

B. Upload Your Resume

  1. Log into your account and go to “Documents.”
  2. Click on the “Add New” button.
  3. You must then upload your resume. Follow the online prompts to complete this procedure. Be as thorough as possible in entering the required information, as this online registration process is the precursor to signing up for interviews through Symplicity, utilizing career assessment tool(s), and searching electronically for job and internship opportunities targeted for Howard University students through our web-based medium, Symplicity.
  4. Review your resume information and click “Submit”

Congratulations! You're now ready to sign up for on-campus interviews, workshops, information sessions and all other career development opportunities offered by the CEDAR Center's On-Campus Recruitment Program.
