At the present time Dr. Glass is funding three M.S. students and one undergraduate student. My first graduate student at HU and my leader in the laboratory was Sharon Boodram, a native of Trinidad and Tobago. Sharon first came to Howard University to study in the Department of Biology in 1997 but decided in the fall of 1999 to join the Civil Engineering Department studying Environmental Engineering. Sharon finished working on a project analyzing initial soluble phosphorus impact on the kinetics of nitrification and denitrification in August 2002. My second graduate student was Kenyatta Miles a native of Louisiana. Kenyatta graduated from the Civil Engineering department here at HU in 2000. Kenyatta Miles is looking into the degradation of PAHs in wet soils. My current masters students are Kanayo Odoe, Jean-Jacque Bissouma, and Reesa Chee-Wah. They are all at various stages of their masters program.
