Deltonia N. Shropshire M.Ed Bio

 Deltonia N. Shropshire, MA graduated from Loyola University Maryland on a full NCAA women’s basketball scholarship and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of Richmond while serving as a Division I NCAA Women’s Assistant Basketball coach.

She presently serves as a Standardized Patient Educator at the Howard University Clinical Skills Center. Shropshire has functioned as an adjunct college professor of Sociology for a Community College in Columbia, Maryland.

Her experience with sociology opened an opportunity to consistently co-host on the Trending with EZ show heard on Sundays at 6 am on 93.9 WKYS and at 4 p.m. on WOL 1450 am. She has also served as the social commentary writer for the official EZ Street Show (93.9FM WKYS) blog/website.

Shropshire has served as the State Coordinator for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth for the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education, which to date has been the most rewarding and fulfilling experience. There she created a functional State plan for the implementation of educating homeless children and youth according to national, state and local requirements. Working directly with the population living in DC also guided many actions taken to improve access to education for transient children and their families.

Ms. Shropshire is a dedicated educationist that challenges herself to learn diversified educational strategies globally for purposes of reforming education invariably.
