In a career that spans more
than thirty years, veteran actor Al Freeman, Jr., has amassed an impressive
list of stage, screen, and television credits. In 1979, he was nominated
for an Emmy for his portrayal of Malcolm X in Roots II. That same
year, he was awarded the Emmy for his work as Ed Hall in the day time soap
One Life To Live. This was the first time in the history of the
Emmy awards that an actor was honored for his work on both prime time and
day time in the same season. He has played in a host of regional theaters
in Chicago, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. |
