Q:      What is the purpose of this Conference?

A:     The IABD Conference is dedicated to preserving and promoting dance by people of African ancestry or origin, and assists and increases opportunities for artists in networking, funding, performance, education, audience development, philosophical dialogue, touring and advocacy. The International Association of Blacks in Dance is a membership based association, which provides a network, formal newsletters, choreographers directory, published papers and is the raison d'tre for the annual Conference. The Association also responds to and initiates dialogue around issues that impact the Black Dance Community as well as the community at large.


Q:
     Do I have to be a member of the IABD in order to attend the Conference in Denver, CO?

A:     No you don’t.  Cleo Parker Robinson Dance will however, be actively seeking membership for IABD at the Denver Conference.

      What are the benefits of membership to the IABD?

      What can I expect at the IABD Denver Conference?

A:      Four awe inspiring days filled with Master classes, panels, workshops, lecture/demonstrations, performances from Internationally renowned companies, off-site activities, a multi-company audition, networking events and being surrounded by your peers and pioneers of the Black Dance Community.

      How do I register for the IABD Denver Conference?

A:      The Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Company will be processing all Conference Registrations, please contact them directly at (303) 295-1759.

For Group Sales Cleo Parker Robison Dance should be contacted directly at (303) 295-1759.  Groups are defined as ten (10) or more persons.

      Who can attend this Conference?

A:      Anyone and everyone who is passionate about Dance. The fact that you are on IABD's website would certainly put you in that category, don’t you think? Cleo Parker Robinson Dance is calling on Denver's Arts Community to be an essential part of the Welcoming Committee for our national and international guests.  We need to present them with our most gracious selves, which naturally leads to our need for experienced Volunteers.  If you are interested in volunteering at the Conference please contact our offices and email the Volunteer Coordinator, at cleodance@aol.com   and please put Volunteer in the title of your message.
