1.When does fall orientation take place?

Orientation for the Fall Semester usually begins by the 3rd week in August at the same time the residence Hall opens for new students.

2. Where can I get an orientation schedule?

The Orientation Schedule “At a Glance”is mailed to all incoming students as early as June prior to the beginning of the Fall semester and is dependant upon when a student gains acceptance and pays his/her enrollment fee.

3. How can I obtain information on course registration?

Registration materials for new students may be picked up at the Dean’s Office in each school or college. To obtain a registration packet, students must present their permit to register. Complete course registration procedures are listed on Howard’s website: http://www.howard.edu/enrollmentmanagement/admission/register_classes.htm

New entrants and transfer students who have not received college credit for mathematics must take the Mathematics Placement Exam.
