Kevin Reed serves as the Assistant Director of Student Activities at Howard University, a Unit within the Division of Student Affairs. As Assistant Director, he is responsible for facilitating critical program support services to students, student organizations, and programs administered by the Office of Student Activities. Mr. Reed has over seven years of experience in special events management and coordination, event planning, budget management, event marketing and branding, project management, contract negotiations, personnel management, logistical and travel planning, protocol planning, student affairs, and working with dignitaries and VIPs from the political, business and entertainment sectors. He has significant management and leadership in special events coordination and project management as Special Events Coordinator, Special Assistant to the President, Coordinator of Residence Life & Housing and the SGA President’s Chief of Staff and Chief Justice. He also has experience in coordinating events with over 38,000 in attendance and managing over 20 student affairs professionals and student workers. Mr. Reed is a Certified Meeting Planner and is recognized by the Who’s Who Cambridge Registry of Executives and Professionals. Mr. Reed holds a B.A. and M.A. in History from Texas Southern University, Houston, Texas. He is a proud father of one son.
