Mrs. Lennon Jackson joined the Howard University community as the Director of Student Activities in August 2007.  Prior to coming to Howard, Mrs. Jackson served as an Assistant Dean of Students in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.  In this capacity, Mrs. Jackson, advised the Greek Judicial Board, Multicultural Greek Letter Council (MGLC), MGLC Cultural Programming Funding Board, served as liaison to 25 international fraternity and sorority chapters and provided leadership on departmental programs and events such as the annual Faculty Appreciation Reception, Homecoming, Step Show and the A.D. White Greek Leadership Conference.   

Mrs. Jackson also served as the Program Advisor for the Office of Multicultural Affairs at South Dakota State University (SDSU).  While at SDSU, Mrs. Jackson provided workshops and trainings in the following areas: leadership, change management, diversity and multicultural awarness, sensitivity training to student leaders, organizations and university staff.  Mrs. Jackson also helped develop and coordinate the Minority Peer Mentor Program. 

Before joining the Student Activities Staff at SDSU, Mrs. Jackson served as the Each One Reach One Mentorship program Coordinator and Graduate Assistant for the Center for Black Culture and the Office of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Delaware. Mrs. Jackson also has work experience in the areas of Residence Life, Conference Services, Orientation and Student Support Services.  Mrs. Jackson is a current board member of the Northeast Greek Leadership Association (NGLA), she served as the Values Institute Coordinator for the 2006 NGLA conference and has been an active member of the Association of Fraternity Advisors, Inc. since 2003.

Mrs. Jackson has an M.Ed. in Student Affairs Practice in Higher Education from the University of Delaware and a BS in Biology from Montclair State University, Upper Montclair, NJ.  Mrs. Jackson is originally from Trinidad, W.I. and has two daughters.
