Mr. Wilson T. Bland

Mr. Wilson T. Bland currently serves as the Associate Director of Student Activities. Prior to coming to this department, Mr. Bland served as the Assistant Property Manager of the Howard Plaza Towers with the Office of Residence Life.  He is from Detroit Michigan and came to Washington, DC to attend Howard University majoring in Music and minoring in Business Administration. He later earned a MBA degree double majoring in Management and Computer Information Systems from Southeastern University in Washington, DC. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Policy in the School of Education at Howard University.

Mr. Bland is very involved in community service through his participation with the many organizations that he is currently an active member of. The organizations that he became a member of while attending Howard University are Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity Inc., Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America Inc., and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. While working with the office of Residence life, Mr. Bland chaired or co-chaired several community service committees, which allowed students to give back to the Howard University community as well as the DC community by their involvement with volunteer opportunities. Project Giveback was one of the main volunteer organizations that he was involved with as well as participating in the Universities Commencement ceremony.
