Forward Ever, Backward Never: Moving Forward, Strengthening Our Community

My campaign platform was "Forward Ever…Backward Never: Moving Forward Strengthening Our Community." For the 2007-08 school year, the HUSD SGA’s mission is to focus on strengthening our beloved community while moving us forward as students and future scholars.

And, this school year presents itself as one unique to the community as we will be experiencing a transition in leadership next semester with the arrival of the new dean, Dr. Alton Pollard.

As we focus on the present and future, the SGA has created working committees, to which members of the student body have been tasked to lead. Our diligent efforts are focused not only on the needs of current students, but also on the needs of students who will matriculate here years from now.

With our proactive stance and communal spirit to work as a TEAM (together everybody accomplishes more), this “human initiative by God’s grace” will keep us in a position to move forward as a community.

With God’s continued grace, we will continue to have an AWESOME school year!

Peace and Blessings,

Shea Drake
