Welcome to the Howard Family. We are looking forward to helping you begin an exciting journey toward graduation from Howard University.

Please review the information below and feel free to contact the appropriate office(s) if you have questions and/or concerns. We look forward to officially welcoming you in August.

University Registrar

Become Officially Registered

The first step in this journey is to become officially registered i.e. selecting and paying for your classes. By completing the course selection process early, new students have more time to get settled and spend time with their families.

Freshman, Transfer, and Former Students Returning who have been accepted for fall 2012 admission to Howard and who have paid their enrollment fee can select classes by using the web and submit the required payment for tuition, fees, room and board during an early registration period from July 9th through July 20th. Students who have their classes entered early will still have the opportunity to speak with advisors and modify their class schedules if necessary after they arrive on campus in August. In order to enter your classes during the early registration period, you must:

  • Know your Howard ID number
  • Pay the enrollment fee
  • Complete the math placement examination
  • Submit your completed health form

Once you have completed the items listed above, you should access the link to the school or college to which you have been admitted (as indicated on your letter of acceptance from the Office of Admission) and follow the instructions carefully. The instructions will tell you which courses to select and how to enroll in them. If you have general questions, please contact the Office of the Registrar at (202) 806-2705.
