Do Your Part!EDUCATE EVERYONE The more people know, the better they can protect themselves, educate others, and care for those with HIV. DONATE TIME AND MONEYWe need people to dedicate their time and resources to empowering our community against the spread of HIV/AIDS. We employ the African adage: Each One Teach One. This means that every person in the community is responsible for learning and then sharing information with at least one other person. The idea is that if every person teaches another person then the community will increase in knowledge, compassion, and prosperity. Monetary and material donations are appreciated to improve the lives of HUH CARES clients and to purchase new educational materials.
STOP THE STIGMA = STOP THE SPREAD We are all children of God and we need to treat each other with compassion, respect, and understanding. HIV is a preventable and treatable virus. Let’s work together to help those who have been infected and help prevent the spread of the disease to others.
If we remove the Stigma: People won’t be afraid to know their status People won’t be afraid to share their status with others People won’t be ashamed to take their medications We can have compassion and care for those who are infected We can prevent the transmission of HIV to others
