About IC CAE

The Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (IC CAE) at Howard University is in a partner consortium with Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. The primary goals of this multi-year, multi-million dollar grant program are two-fold:

  1. to increase awareness of the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and

  2. to cultivate the critical skill sets necessary to produce a diverse IC workforce who possess the technological, analytic and critical language capabilities required for critical occupations in national defense.

The IC CAE focuses on interdisciplinary STEM training through pre-collegiate outreach; curriculum development; critical language; cultural immersion and study abroad; faculty mentoring; and facilitating internships and co-op opportunities with IC agencies, national labs, and related industries.

The Center is led by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Mohamed F. Chouikha.
