EXAMINATION
Registration for the Summer 2008 Certification Examination in Internal Medicine opens on December 1, 2008.
The examination fee is $1,170 and there is a non-refundable penalty fee of $400.00 for applications received from February 2, 2008 through March 1, 2008(Late applications). No applications will be accepted after March 1, 2008.
Please note, candidates must complete the full, required training, including vacation time, by no later than August 31, 2008 to be eligible to apply for admission to the 2008 Certification Examination in Internal Medicine. The examination is one day and will be administered on computer at a Pearson Professional Center. Candidates must apply online during the registration period. No paper applications will be mailed to candidates.
To apply online, trainees need to click on "On-Line Services" on ABIM's website (www.abim.org) during the registration period, and follow the prompts to complete their application. ABIM administers certification and maintenance of certification examinations on computer at Pearson VUE test sites. In order to be assigned to a computer test site, a candidate must complete the standard ABIM application requirements and process. All required examination fees must be paid to the ABIM. The standards for passing the examinations are established by the Board.
Please Note: If you choose to schedule your examination appointment at a testing center outside of the Americas or the USA and its territories, you will be charged an additional non-refundable international scheduling fee of $500.
You must call customer service to schedule your exam at an International Test centers.
