Update Your Address

Updating Your Address

The immigration regulations require that all non-immigrants visiting the U.S. update your local residential address within 10 days of moving within the U.S.

F and J status
Internationals in F-1 or J-1 status may fill out the form below and the ISSO will update your address with the immigration service. You are required to use a physical residential address and not a PO Box or a Cornell department address. As of December 2, 2003, "Special Registrants" who are in F or J status may also update addresses directly with the ISSO and no longer have to fill out the Form AR-11SR.

Other Non-immigrant status (H1B, TN, O, B1/B2)
Internationals in H1B, TN, O, or B1/B2 (WB/WT) may fill out the form below in order to update the ISSO records. However, you must still fill out the immigration service's change of address form in order to comply with the address change regulation:

  • AR-11
  • AR-11SR (This is the form that should be used by "special registrants")
