POST-DOCTORAL POSITION:
MEMBRANE
PROCESSES
The Keck Center for the Design of
Nanoscale Materials for Molecular Recognition invites applications for
post-doctoral researchers in membrane processes. This position involves
collaborative research that examines the attachment of materials (ions,
electrons and molecular recognition sites) onto membranes and other
polymeric surfaces. Transport of charged species across the membrane and
the nature of the chemical interactions between the membrane material and
the molecules will be studied. Candidates should have detailed knowledge
of membrane applications and experience in characterization of surfaces by
scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and electrokinetic
analysis. The candidates should also have experience in analytical
techniques such as atomic adsorption spectroscopy, ion chromatography, gas
chromatography, and HPLC. This position is funded for 1.5 – 2 years (with
possibility for further funding) and includes competitive salary and
