POST-DOCTORAL POSITION:
MEMBRANE PROCESSES

The Keck Center for the Design of Nanoscale Materials for Molecular Recognition invites applications for post-doctoral researchers in membrane processes. This position involves collaborative research that examines the attachment of materials (ions, electrons and molecular recognition sites) onto membranes and other polymeric surfaces. Transport of charged species across the membrane and the nature of the chemical interactions between the membrane material and the molecules will be studied. Candidates should have detailed knowledge of membrane applications and experience in characterization of surfaces by scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy and electrokinetic analysis. The candidates should also have experience in analytical techniques such as atomic adsorption spectroscopy, ion chromatography, gas chromatography, and HPLC. This position is funded for 1.5 2 years (with possibility for further funding) and includes competitive salary and benefits. Positions are available immediately. Candidates should send a CV and three references to:
