POST-DOCTORAL POSITION:
SYNTHETIC ORGANIC CHEMISTRY

This project involves the synthesis of of potential host materials such as new types of calixarenes, and the study of their ability to complex guests. Ultimately the attachment of effective host compounds to surfaces and polymeric compounds will be studied in collaboration with other members of the Center. Experience with organic synthesis, inert atmosphere techniques, chromatography, and spectroscopy is desirable.
