Thing Called LOVE
Jennae Wallace
Te
amo, I love you
We all know how to say the words, but really…
What is this thing called love?
The man that could answer that question would be a millionaire…
No, a billionaire…shoot!
He’d be bigger than Bill Gates!
Some say you feel a tingle; a slight flutter that ripples slowly from
head to toe
Others say you feel totally complete; like there’s no one in the world
but you and your boo
Well for me, I say that I have no idea what love is
The word is completely lost on me
It’s like a lone star among a galaxy of millions
Floating in suspended time and space waiting for someone to
recognize it and name it, claim it…do something.
But maybe…just maybe love is sitting in his own little corner
wondering why everyone keeps trying to define him
“Let me be,” he screams, but no one is listening
I don’t want to become a statistic among the growing masses trying
to “love”
I won’t try to define it
But I will let you in on a little secret…
That little thing called love whispered in my ear one day,
“You just know.”
