“The Power of a Choice”
By Tracy
Hunter
How often are we advocates for our natural right to choose
A right just like so many others we often times abuse
Your life is filled with choices (I know you’ve heard these words before)
The choices you make can burn you up or cool you to the core
We make choices regarding the things we do and how we live our lives
The consequences of these choices we make should not come as a surprise
You choose to love, you choose to hate, you choose to come and go
The power of a choice is the greatest power that we know
Take a gun for instance, that’s a mighty powerful thing you figure
But the power is not in the gun or the bullet; it’s in the choice to pull the
trigger
You’ve made choices to go out and live your lives in ways that must be praised
Powerful choices that will affect your lives forever and always
You’ve made choices to do the right things, despite your obstacles and fears
Powerful choices making you powerful role models for your friends and all your
peers
You’re making a difference everywhere you go and with all the choices you make
Powerful choices having powerful effects on everything and everyone that lies in
your wake
When things get hard and goals appear of out of reach you choose to give it your
best
Powerful choices that day after day separate you from all the rest
