Secrets
By
Kyeba Jackman
Once I kept a secret...
I was not hurting anyone for it was mine,
It was personal and they did not need to know.
This was my condition and I had to deal with it.
They would all worry, I would be ok
I didn’t want them to fuss
So I told NO one...
Then it got lonely
No one knew, so I couldn’t let it out
All of the tension, frustration and anxiety were mine to keep.
For I was on an island of knowledge
Then I told
I broke down
They helped me up
The pain left
I’m better now,
But I still keep some secrets.
