Abstracts
SciFinder Scholar is the electronic version of Chemical Abstract. SciFinder Scholar links to the full text in journals HUL to which has an online subscription. Access to this database is available in the Chemistry Department computer rooms.
CrossFire Beilstein
(Available for Windows PC only)
Beilstein references the chemical literature published in about 200 prestigious organic chemistry journals from 1779 to date. It is updated quarterly. The database may be searched using structures and/or text (property information, chemical name, molecular formula).
Use CrossFire Beilstein database to plan synthetic routes, determine bioactivity and physical properties, and discover the environmental fates of compounds. 175 journals are indexed the Crossfire databases are client-server programs.
