Local Area Resources

A great advantage of studying in Washington, DC metropolitan area are the rich information resources available to researchers at other universities, as well as federal and local government libraries, museums, and public libraries.

Such resources will supplement, not substitute the tremendous resources available through our campus libraries.

In particular, public libraries resources include e-books, downloadable music and video, e-audiobooks, articles, reports, statistics, documents and other types of information which can be searched remotely, from dorm, residence, office.

All you need for access to these rich e-resources at the city/county of your residence, any time/any place, is a FREE library card at the public library of your choise.

To obtain a public library card, HU students who have not established permanent residency in DC or the neighboring jurisdictions must present a current HU Capstone ID.
