- All libraries within the University Library System provide general access and a full-range of loan services. These services include patron registration; updating of address and patron in formation; borrowing of materials from the general circulating collection; individual and group study facilities; course reserves; handling of library fines and charges; patron record clearance; stack search requests and stack assistance; patron inspection at exit points; and self-service photocopying.
- Special services (viz., special borrowing privileges, reciprocal direct borrowing, interlibrary loan borrowing and lending) are offered in The Founders Library. A 24-hour reading facility and multimedia services are provided in the Undergraduate Library. Elevators, access ramps, electronic doors, parking, equipment for the visually impaired, and other special services are provided. Shuttle bus service is available to/from the libraries during regular and exctended library hours.
- Circulation services for the Health Sciences Library, the Law Library, the Moorland Spingarn Research Center, and other Howard University campus resource facilities may differ.
