Wells, Alma Thomas, Sam Gilliam, David Driskell, Archibald Motley, Romare Bearden, Aaron Douglas, James Porter, Charles White, Hughie Lee-Smith, Ben Jones, Nelson Stevens, and sculptors, Richmond Barthe', William Artis, May Howard Jackson, Henry Bannarn, Charles Alston, Meta Warrick Fuller, Sargent Johnson, Alexander Calder, and Richard Hunt, to cite a few. The collection, richly endowed with paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints, is on exhibition twice during the academic year, and is available for scholarly study by appointment.
