If You Can't Be with
the One You Love, Love the One You're with.
(This may be the
last and final condition)

You have bruised her emotionally, but luckily bruises
diminish.
Love made your black and blue words fade, but
Your tight grip on logic’s noose made all sensibility fade as well.
You have pushed her away but you said it was all for her.
She tries not to blame the person you are now.
You could not be there for her, you judged her, and you insulted her
character without regard for sensitivity.
She was only led to believe that she mattered to you very little.
So she has left you, and your past, her hope for your future, and the
stabilization of the present.
She wasn’t strong enough to endure this road of unquestioned patience
and forgiveness.
He wants to comfort her.
He wants to calm her.
He talks with her, walks with her, and prays with her
To love him is to adore his integrity and to admire who he is to her.
To desire him is to desire a masculine grace on her heart, although she
knows she can only bring him the pain she, herself, was left with.
A suspicious
faith, an unhealthy fear…to lose someone to a disease such as confusion.
The illness consumed you and now it attacks her heart
Healing can only come from another love to replace her feelings of
worthlessness and misunderstanding.
First, to cure those emotions, then, to cure the largest consumption of
herself – FEAR.
The lonely, sickening fear that no one will complete the path you began.
She will never again walk in that direction because where you stopped
building, no one can successfully finish.
Now love is a temporary, nomadic state where she can’t even remember how
to give herself to anyone but you.
So if I can’t be with the one I love, I will love the one I am with.
