Nevertheless…I have beaten the odds,
Nevertheless, I am here.
Nevertheless, times may get hard,
Nevertheless, I persevere.
Nevertheless, I have been judged,
Nevertheless, in me the Lord did not instill fear.
Nevertheless, I have cried many days,
Nevertheless, I have shed many tears.
Nevertheless, my God shall guide me,
Nevertheless, his presence is perpetually near.
Nevertheless, he nurtures this blessed soul within me,
Nevertheless, my precious spirit he reveres.
Nevertheless, I continue to rise,
Nevertheless, I am here.
