Heaven Is Still Accepting Angels
By Tracy Hunter
|
I’ve loved
I’ve been loved
I’ve lied
I’ve cried
I’ve hurt
I’ve been hurt
I’ve strayed
I’ve prayed
I’ve forgiven
I’ve been forgiven
I have lived
and now
Now I am tired
I’m going home now to claim my mansion
I’ll be watching over you
And if you remember to keep God first
You’ll get your angel’s wings too
Oh no!
Please don’t cry
I promise it will be alright
Although you cry for me this night
Your joy will come with the morning light
God will wipe your tears
He’ll erase your fears
and together
Together, we’ll take care of you
As you face the coming years
I know it’s difficult to understand
How could I leave you this way?
I’m no longer there for you to hold
Talk to
Fight with
You know the routine
You know I love you
and
I heard you when you said you were sorry
I heard you when you said you loved me
I heard you when you said
“If I could talk to ________ just one last time…”
I heard you!
Apology accepted!
Just know that:
I’ve loved
I’ve been loved
I’ve lied
I’ve cried
I’ve hurt
I’ve been hurt
I’ve strayed
I’ve prayed
I’ve forgiven
I’ve been forgiven
I have lived
and now
Now I am tired
I’m going home now to claim my mansion
I’ll be watching over you
And if you remember to keep God first
You’ll get your angel’s wings too
So for now, I’ll say goodbye
Oh no!
Please don’t cry
I know I’ll see you again soon
Just remember to keep God first
And you’ll be sure to get your angel’s wings too.
