How to Help Us

The African-American Linkages with South Africa project needs your support to complete its work successfully. Here are two ways that you can help.

1.
Tell us about any documents that you are aware of or may have in your possession. We are trying to locate as many documents as we can, but we realize that there are many letters, diaries, official documents, memorabilia, and photographs that may be in private hands. We hope that you can share them with us. In return we may have documents that will fill in gaps in family histories. We have already helped several families to trace information about family members who lived in South Africa.

2.
Make a tax-deductible contribution to the project. Even with a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission and the support of Howard University, we have to raise additional money to buy equipment, to pay for travel to collections in the United States and South Africa, and to hire additional researchers. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
