About Me

My name is Christina, I'm 11 years old, and I attend Paint Branch Elem. School. I have a little brother and two parents. I'm a pretty normal person. I got good grades last year in the 5th grade.  I play the piano. Life is OK for me, though sometimes it's a pain. But it always comes through, sooner or later. Well that's really all there is to my life.

Telling the Story

Bob Marley is known as the " King of  Reggae, ",which is very true, but there is more to his story than that, much more. Bob was born as Robert Nesta Marley in St. Ann, Jamaica on February 6, 1945, the son of a middle-aged white father and teenaged black mother. He left home at 14 to pursue a music career in Kingston, Jamaica, becoming a pupil and devout Rastafarian Joe Higgs. He cut his first single " Judge Not " in 1962 for Leslie Kong.

In 1963, Marley teamed with fellow singers Peter Tosh, Bunny Livingstone, Junior Braithwaite, Beverly Kelso and Cherry Smith to form a local group of teenagers,  later named  "The Wailing Rudeboys," then simply the "Wailers. "

Later on, Marley decide to started his solo career. During that time he made millions on his off- the-chart hits and amazing albums. Also he made tours all around the world. The more he performed the more popularity he gained from his fans

In 1981 Marley was jogging in New York's Central Park and collapsed. It was discovered that he suffered from cancer that had spread to his brain, lungs, and liver. " Uprising " was his final album in Marley's lifetime- he died May 11, 1981 at the age of 36.

People I Admire

I admire many famous and non-famous people in my life, but my parents will always come first. They teach me things that no one will ever talk to me about. Then I admire my teachers and my friends and many other people as well. I also like Usher, too.

Dream Vacation

Jamaica is a hot, tropical, and amazing place to be. Its beautiful waters makes you feel as if you are in a living paradise. Its cultural food is extremely good.  One of my favorite recipes is the Jamaican Curry Chicken. The American $ is worth $48.01 more $ than the the Jamaican. Another place that I would like to go is the Hawaiian islands.

Personal Goals

I have personal goals to achieve. First I will get good grades and to graduate from Yale University with a  good degree. After that I plan on being a chemist and and being known for what I do.

Hopes for the Future

As I said before I want to be known around the world for what I do, but first I must get through school first before I jump to others things first .Also I want to be rich and help people less fortunate than I am. I'll help by donating to charities.    These are my hopes for the future.
