The Howard University RCMI Program celebrates 20 years of Biomedical Research by showing recognition and appreciation to past, present and future of RCMI. The awards program and lecture was held in the Howard University Hospital Towers Building Auditorium on April 19, 2005. In attendance was NIH NCRR staff Dr. Sidney McNairy, Dr. Sheila McClure, Dr. C. William Angus, and Dr. Krishan K. Arora. Also in attendance was Howard University and Howard University Hospital faculty, staff & students and RCMI Program staff.

Recognition and appreciation awards were given to NIH NCRR’s Judith Vaitukaitis, M.D. & Sidney A. McNairy, Jr., Ph.D, also Howard University Warren K. Ashe, Ph.D. & Georgia Dunston, Ph.D. Keynote Speaker was David Deerfield, Ph.D. of Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center. The event was organized by Sherri Kum, Administrative Assistant, Donnell Scott, Program Administrator and Dr. William Southerland, Program Director of Howard University, College of Medicine, RCMI Program.
