The Howard University Museum, located in the Dorothy Porter Wesley Room of Founders Library, is a teaching museum. The museum selects, exhibits, preserves, and interprets artifacts and documents useful for a broad interpretation of the history and culture of people of African descent. The museum also exhibits documents and artifacts relating to Howard history.
Howard In Retrospect: Images of the Capstone
The Howard University Archives exhibition, “Howard In Retrospect: Images of the Capstone,” visually documents the University’s history, growth and development from its founding to the 1980s. This photographic exhibition enables one to enjoy and appreciate the many achievements and accomplishments attained by the Howard family in its continuing pursuit of excellence. The exhibition highlights Howard faculty, staff, students, visiting dignitaries, buildings, and sports.
