Campus Restoration Underway
Howard University Community:

The Department of Public Safety provided around-the-clock patrol and security services for the University. There were no major incidents reported during the storm. Early assessments show no significant damages on the Main, East or West campus.

We are working with Physical Facilities Management (PFM) to complete a full assessment of all campus buildings. The PFM staff will complete repairs as soon as possible. The Office of Residence Life is also working with PFM to address leaks in the residence halls. The Howard Plaza Towers experienced power fluctuations and some outages; however, electricity has since been restored.

The team is working diligently to fully restore campus today and we anticipate that the University will resume normal operations on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
