Emmanuel O. Akala, Ph.D., associate professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, presented a paper on "Stealth Polymeric Nanoparticles for Drug Delivery Devices" on Monday, May 23, at a technical session during the Mid-Atlantic Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society.


Christine H. Carrington, Ph.D., assistant professor, Department of Psychiatry, is among the 18 psychologists featured in the “Legacy of Excellence” DVD series, sponsored by the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. In celebration of its 30 years of service, the National Register has compiled the four-volume set to feature diverse and dynamic perspectives on the field and inspire professional and academic discussions.


Alan McPherson, Ph.D., associate professor, Department of History, published “Yankee No! Anti-Americanism in U.S.-Latin American Relations” in 2003. This year, the book received the A.B. Thomas Award for best book of the year from the Southeastern Council on Latin American Studies and was named the Outstanding Academic Title by Choice Magazine.
